Enter Castle Rat. A heavy metal glam band rising from the depths of Brooklyn and led by their fearless leader, the Rat Queen herself. Backed by The Count, Dr. Mouse, and Sarge, this group has been plagued by the Rat Reaper ever since the day the Rat Queen cheated death.
Even without the killer back story, Castle Rat shows they make heavy metal that speaks for itself on “Different Dirt.” Droning vocals are met with powerful guitar riffs and a drum beat so catchy you’ll be banging your head with every hit of the snare. A mind-melting guitar intro is crescendoed by a few cymbal crashes before the Rat Queen’s vocals take the forefront. On “Different Dirt” the Rat Queen tells a story of the battle of a lifetime, but she fears no death. Castle Rat does metal the right way and has a narrative that builds and builds with every song.
